e spent a lot of time traveling all over the U.S.A over the years, but gave up flying after 9/11.

Flying over 50,000 miles each summer was quite exciting on one hand, but often a huge headache on the other. Traveling with two power wheelchairs created some unique situations (the airlines liked to break things).

The logistics of getting a show and group of people from state to state took plenty of advanced planning. Hotels, ground transportation, food, sound checks, equipment and all the quirks and requests each individual made was crazy enough, but add in a couple of power wheelchairs and the planning took a bit more thought.

Often, the airline employees didn't even know their own protocol. Getting there was easy enough, but getting from the airport to the hotel or venue was another story. Cabs are not wheelchair accessible (a couple of states have one or two). These are not the kind of chairs you just fold up and throw in the trunk, though we did prop them in an open trunk of a limo one time in L.A. for a very long, nail-biting ride.

We hope you enjoy these photos of our various adventures!
